Tim Burton

Tim Burton is a former City lawyer and now a co-producer with TAP. His acting credits include:

Other theatre credits include designing Tacit Theatre Company’s production of The Office Party and directing IT Support, a play written by his daughter, Emma.

Tim wrote Time Bomb, a one act political drama, especially for the 2008 Edinburgh Fringe Festival. He wishes to make clear that the only autobiographical detail in the play is that the 1967 League Cup Final was the first professional football match he, like his character Robert Clarke, ever saw.




Frances Burton

Frances Burton is a freelance trainer and TAP’s co-producer. Her theatre credits include:

With husband, Tim, Frances was instrumental in establishing Tacit Theatre and staging five successful shows for the company.

Frances' favourite role to date was that of "Shitty Meg" in Our Country's Good, for which her costume was so realistic that even her mother-in-law didn't recognise her.

Lesley Strachan

The company is delighted to have engaged Lesley Strachan to direct Time Bomb. Lesley brings considerable experience to the role and a strong commitment to new writing. She also has the ability to remain calm in a crisis and a great sense of humour and fun, which we are sure will be a great asset to us in Edinburgh!

Designer

Jessica Andrews

Jessica Andrews is a designer interested in all aspects of theatre production especially props. She has a BA Hons in Theatre Design from Nottingham Trent University (2001 - 2005) and has designed for various productions including:

She has also worked with various organisations, such as the Carlton Youth Theatre Workshop; the ROH, Covent Garden; and the Royal Lyceum, Edinburgh in a construction/artistic capacity.

Denise Rocard

Denise Rocard is a professional actor who trained with the Court Theatre Training Company. In addition to leading roles in the last three Tacit shows, her theatre work includes:

Denise has relatives who live in Edinburgh and so will be counting on local support!




Cornelia Baumann

Cornelia Baumann is about to finish her actor training at Thames Valley University. She is currently working on the final production for her BA course, Les Belles Soeurs by Michel Tremblay. Previous theatre work includes:

Cornelia is looking forward to taking a show to Edinburgh and is excited that being part of Time Bomb will be her first endeavour after finishing her studies.




Toby White

Toby White has just finished his actor training at Thames Valley University, topping off his experience by playing the lead male role in his final production of Precious Bane by Byrony Lavery. Previous theatre work includes:

Toby can’t wait to perform at the Fringe festival and is very pleased to have been brought into the team. He hopes that he can repay his peers with the energy he generates on stage.




Paul Mulcahy

A former member of the National Youth Theatre of Great Britain, Paul Mulcahy kicked off his early acting career with a number of productions in London including The Life & Times of Francois Villon by Anton Gill and Look back in Anger by John Osborne as well as various workshops and festivals before his parents’ funding ran out and he had to “get a proper job!”

Early amateur musical credits also include the Tin man in The Wizard of Oz, Prez in The Pajama Game and Sky Masterson in Guys and Dolls with local amateur dramatic companies in his home town of Hartlepool where he also created and directed a local youth theatre company which is still in existence today.

Upon moving to London Paul spent some time with The Kingston Players on various productions. After a long career break (i.e. trying to make one) in Canada, Paul returned to the United Kingdom where his most recent projects include:

Paul is thrilled to be participating and performing in Tim’s new and leading edge piece of theatre and is very excited about being an Edinburgh Fringe Festival virgin where he will undoubtedly also be appearing in various piano and karaoke bars nightly!




Julia Collier

Julia Collier trained as an actress at Manchester Polytechnic School of Theatre and as a Voice Teacher at Central School of Speech and Drama. Julia is a member of The Tower Theatre Company and playwright. She is founder member of the all-female comedy sketch group “21st Century Vixens” and is thrilled to be involved with Time Bomb – both as actor and company voice coach.

Jonathan Constant was a founder member of the Green Theatre Company, in 1986 – a New-Malden based youth theatre – and went on to become its chairman, before being appointed artistic director at the cornerHOUSE community arts centre in Surbiton. Over the past 20 years, Jon has appeared in more than 40 plays and directed more than 20 shows.
